AEROVOYANT – terrific debut book of new author

Saturday the 11th P. L. (Patty) Tavormina had a book signing in the Open Book store at 512 W. Hillcrest Dr., Thousand Oaks, California. To bring up Google Maps showing the location click THIS link. I enjoyed the book a lot.

Aerovoyant is a ground-breaking science fiction novel about an environmental crisis on a distant planet and those who fight it. It’s Patty’s debut novel and she’s done a great job. It quickly pulls you in and doesn’t let go till the very end.

Will we ever see any more shapchanger stories? You last said Orphan 3 was to come out early December and here it is mid January and no Orphan 3 yet.

Authors are happy to hear that readers want their books. Thanks.

On Orphan 3, I am this week struggling to finish the last chapter. It is hard, almost torture, to write. This is because the last book of a trilogy, and the last chapter of that book, has to satisfy three demands. Keep what appeals in the previous books. Add something new. And give a satisfying resolution to the arc that all three books share.

As for other Shapechanger books, yes, there are several in the works. But that reveals the problems of series when an author wants to make them all fit together jigsaw puzzle style . It ain’t easy, AND it takes time.

Keep on asking questions like those above. It gives an author added reason to get up in the morning and sit down to write.
